Three members of the Enterprise Fire Department were recognized Thursday at a First Responders Appreciation Dinner hosted by the District Attorney’s office and First Methodist Church Enterprise.

The “Enterprise Fire Department Shift Excellence Award” was presented to one firefighter from each shift.  The recipients were nominated by their peers and recommended by their respective Battalion Chief.  Enterprise Fire Chief Christopher Davis joined District Attorney James Tarbox and Assistant District Attorney Jeremy Mitchell to present the commemorative plaque to each award recipient.

Samuel Voska was awarded the “A” Shift Excellence Award.  Voska, who started with EFD in September 2021, was noted as having “remarkable patience and sound judgement in handling challenging situations.”

Senior Firefighter Michael Rogers was awarded the “B” Shift Excellence Award. Rogers was characterized as having ‘dedication, courage, and exemplary conduct [which] embody the values of the department, earning him the admiration and respect of all who know him.’ He started with the department in July 2016.

Addison Hudson was awarded the “C” Shift Excellence Award. Hudson started with EFD in August 2022 and was recognized for his ‘proactive approach to training and development.’

Members of the Enterprise Police Department and Coffee County Sheriff’s Office were also recognized at the event.
