Biography
Enterprise native Sonya Wheeler Rich was appointed to the Enterprise City Council in June 2017 to represent District 1.

Education
Councilwoman Rich is a 1992 graduate of Enterprise High School and attended Tuskegee University. She graduated from Auburn University in 2000 with a Bachelor or Arts degree in Psychology. She received a Master's Degree in Educational Psychology from Capella University in 2013. She has been employed with the State of Alabama at Coffee County DHR since 2008.

Personal Life
Councilwoman Rich is married to J.L. Rich, and is a member of Greater New Life Baptist Church. She is a member of the Semper Fidelis Club of Enterprise and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.

She recites her favorite quote as, "It is nice to be important, but it is more important to be nice." The Councilwoman is honored to be a member of the City Council and to serve District 1 and all of the people of Enterprise. She said she will approach the job with the philosophy she tries to live by, which is "striving to do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but sensibly, in humility, always considering the needs of all mankind."

In her leisure, Councilwoman Rich enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking for her family, traveling with her husband, and attending Auburn football games.

Biography
Eugene Goolsby was elected to his first term on the Enterprise City Council in August 2016 to represent District 2. He was re-elected in August 2020.

Councilman Goolsby is a 1965 graduate of Dothan High School and a 1969 graduate of Troy State University with a Bachelors of Science degree in education. He recently retired from Goolsby Brothers Plumbing and Electrical, Inc, after 37 years as a small business owner.

He and his wife, Charlene, have been married for almost 50 years and have two sons and six grandchildren.

Public Service
By example through the years, Councilman Goolsby has demonstrated his belief in the value of public service. He supports the business community through membership in the Enterprise Chamber of Commerce, the Downtown Business Association, the Wiregrass Economic Development Corp, and the Business Council of Alabama.

His community service activities include active membership of the St. Luke United Methodist Church and the Westside Neighborhood Association; the Enterprise Lions Club, serving as president in 1999; a member of the Enterprise Health and Rehabilitation Board of Directors; a Relay for Life volunteer for 24 years; and a Habitat for Humanity volunteer/sponsor for 16 years.

"Public service is about being sensitive and responsive to the needs of the people," he says, adding that a priority of his role as a council member is "to fulfill the duties of the office to the best of my ability, and at all times, do what I believe is fair and just for all."

Recognition
For his many years of service, Goolsby has earned numerous awards, including recognition by the Alabama House of Representatives for Community Service in 2009. He was chosen as Enterprise Man of the Year in 1999 and was Enterprise Chamber of Commerce Retiree of the Year in 2014. In 2003, the Enterprise Chamber of Commerce recognized his business as the Retail Business of the Year, and in 1983 and 1997, the Enterprise Home Builders Association named him Associate of the Year.

Biography
Elected in October 2020, Greg Padgett is in his first year as a councilman representing District 3.

Long-time Enterprise resident
A resident of Enterprise since he was 3 years old, Padgett is a 1995 graduate of Enterprise High School. He received an Enterprise Networking Professional certification form Florida State University, and is triple MCITP, and MCSE certified with Microsoft. Padgett has owned and operated Eagle's Wings Technologies since 2003.

Father of four
Padgett and his wife Kimberly have four children, Joel, Daniel, Gabriel and Anna. He and his family are members of New Life Pentecostal Church and are involved in many aspects of ministry, to include music director, worship leader, administrative secretary, Sunday school teacher and pulpit ministry.

Community service
Padgett is also a member of the Enterprise Rotary Club, Coffee County Republican Committee and an associate member of the Republican Women of Coffee County.

Biography
Scotty Johnson is in his first term on the Enterprise City Council, serving District 4. He took office in November 2020.

Scotty Johnson was elected to the Enterprise City Council in August 2020 to represent District 4.

Johnson retired from the United States Army as a Chief Warrant Officer 5, after serving for 38 years. After retirement, he worked as a Department of the Army Civilian for 13 years until his retirement from civil service in 2017.

Personal life
Johnson and his wife, Dawn, have been married for 57 years. They have four adult children, eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Community Involvement
Active in community and public service, Johnson is the coordinator of the Coffee County Community Emergency Response Team. He is a member of the Commander’s Retiree Council, Fort Rucker; VFW Post 6683 and several other military service organizations; Enterprise Lion’s Club; the International Civitan Club; and the Enterprise State Community College Committee on Accreditation of Educational Programs for the Emergency Medical Services Professions (CoAEMSP).

He also serves as Ambassador for the Enterprise Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors Team; Vice Chairperson of the Recovery Organization of Coffee County (ROCC); and Athlete Classifier for the National Wheelchair Basketball Association.

A past Enterprise Man of the Year, Johnson is involved in several local community theater productions (ESCC) and dinner theater shows (Southern Broadway Dinner Theater).

Biography
Enterprise native Turner Townsend became a councilman serving his hometown in November 2016 after winning election to the District 5 seat the previous August.

Document (4) 1Councilman Townsend is a graduate of Enterprise High School, and graduated from Auburn University with honors in 2004 with a degree in Building Science. While at Auburn, he met his wife Lucy, whom he married upon graduation. The couple have three daughters, 9-year-old Virginia, 7-year-old Mary Austin and 3-year-old Alice.

Councilman Townsend owns and operates his family business, Townsend Building Supply, with his brother Michael. He is a lifelong active member of First Baptist Church of Enterprise, where he serves as a deacon.

Community Involvement
Active in community and public service roles, he is a member of the Enterprise Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors; is chairman of the Coffee County United Way; is on the Board of Trustees of the Wiregrass United Way; and is a member of the board of directors of the Construction Suppliers Association of Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana.

In his spare time, Councilman Townsend enjoys golf, Auburn football, and spending time at the lake with family and friends.
