The Christmas Tree lighting at Enterprise City Hall will now be held Dec. 5, 2022.
The 30-foot tall Christmas tree, decorated with more than 500 ornaments and 10,000 lights, will be lit for the first time this holiday season as part of the ceremony on Monday at 6 p.m. in the front courtyard of City Hall.
Pastor Ben Bowden from First Baptist Church of Enterprise will offer a special holiday message. Radio personality BJ Kelly will emcee the ceremony, which will also include the Enterprise High School JROTC, the Enterprise Queens, Whoville characters and more.
Following the ceremony, everyone is invited to stick around for cookies, provided by Century 21, as well as hot chocolate provided by Enterprise Parks and Recreation. Photos with Santa will also be available after the ceremony and will take place inside City Hall.
The Christmas tree lighting, which is traditionally held the Thursday following Thanksgiving, was postponed when the Enterprise Christmas Parade shifted dates due to inclement weather. The parade is now Thursday, Dec. 1.
