April declared Autism Awareness Month
Sixteen-year-old Alexander Cea, seated at left, joined Mayor William E. Cooper at Enterprise City Hall recently to help declare April as Autism Awareness Month. Cea, a sophomore at Enterprise High School, read a letter to the Mayor explaining that although he has autism, the disorder “does not define who I am.” He shared with the mayor facts about himself and his goals, and credited his parents with the consistent therapy that has helped him to be “the best version of myself.” Cooper described Cea as an inspiring young man and thanked him for serving as a great example for others who live with autism or other diseases.
