A Veterans Appreciation Community Luncheon will be held Thursday, Nov. 9 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Enterprise Civic Center, and the public is encouraged to purchase tickets to attend.

The community luncheon, hosted by local Veterans Service Organizations, with support of the Enterprise Chamber of Commerce Military & Veterans Affairs Committee and the City of Enterprise, will show honor and appreciation for active and former service members.

Tickets are $20 per person.  A table of 8 is available for $160. Sponsorship opportunities are also available.

“We honor and value all of our service men and women, those who have served and those who are currently serving,” Mayor William E. Cooper said. “This Veterans Appreciation Community Luncheon is an opportunity for our community to show their support and I encourage everyone to attend and show their appreciation for these fine men and women.”

The “Veteran of the Year” and “Active Service Member of the Year” award winners will be announced at the luncheon.  Nominations are being accepted through Friday, Oct. 27.  Applications can be found on the Chamber’s website or picked up in the Mayor’s Office at Enterprise City Hall.  Nominees should set a positive example and reflect well upon military values such as selfless service, honor and integrity.
