Public invited to Senior Center open house on May 11

April 10,2024

The City of Enterprise is hosting a Senior Center open house on Saturday, May 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the facility located in the back of the Enterprise Civic Center.

The “Let’s Luau” themed open house will feature free activities, including games with prizes, as well as food and drinks.  Several booths will be set up to offer information related to senior services in the community.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for our 60+ community to come see what the Enterprise Senior Center has to offer,” Birgit Briggs, Community Service Coordinator, said. “From games and crafts, to meals and special events, the Enterprise Senior Center wants to provide not only a place of fellowship, but also a place where our senior community can receive educational and nutritional services, participate in social and recreational activities, and support and maintain independence.”

The Enterprise Senior Center is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at no cost to those 60 and older. Transportation within city limits is available to those who qualify.

“We really want to encourage not only our senior community to come to this event, but caregivers, family members and healthcare providers. We want to highlight the facility and the services offered and help spread the word about this incredible resource available in Enterprise.”

Monthly calendars of activities are published on the Senior Center website and can be found at https://enterpriseal.gov/services/calendar_of_events.php

The Enterprise Senior Center is located at 2401 Neil Metcalf Road. For more information on the facility, contact Birgit Briggs at bbriggs@enterpriseal.gov or call (334) 348-2668.
